josie cat rearing
Females are sexually mature at around 18 months, while male cats take around 2 years. All seasons can breed, mostly from October to March of the following year, and they often mate on trees. The gestation period is 72-78 days, and each litter produces 2-3 kittens, which can be built in bushes, tree holes or rock holes. Females can give birth to two litters of kittens in one year. Males do not help raise young. When the cub is born, it is covered with fluff with spots, and weighs about 65-95 grams. It will take about 10 days to open its eyes, and it can climb trees proficiently at about 6 weeks old.
