What does threadfin rainbowfish look like?
The body is pointed fusiform, the abdomen is round, and the tail is long. The back of the body is blue, the abdomen is golden, and there is a golden band in the center of the body from the eyes to the caudal peduncle. The dorsal fin is tall, straight and slender, the fin rays are long at the tip, and the tail fin is extended to the rear. The pelvic fins are mutated into two long pointed fins, shaped like swallows.
The most impressive thing about the Ishima silverfish is its fin shape. The first dorsal fin of mature males is an obvious fan-like shape composed of six fin rays; the ends of the second dorsal fin and anal fin both extend into elegant filaments, and the body color is mainly silver with metallic luster, sometimes showing a slight tinge Pink color. Its whole body shines with iridescent light. When it is not spreading its fins, you will see them swimming with long fins. When the fins are spread, the dorsal fin is towering, almost twice as long as its body. The pelvic and caudal fins are more subtly. Extending back, it’s quite charming.

threadfin rainbowfish rearing
Whether indoors or outdoors, Swallow Beauty has a proven track record of breeding success. According to the experience of aquarium enthusiasts at home and abroad, there are several tips for the reproduction of Swallow Beauty. The most important of these is to provide dense mousse balls to seedlings as a medium for spawning. The larvae hatch in about a few days, and the newly hatched larvae are so small that they need to be fed with green water and small-sized microorganisms, which is the main reason for the failure of the swallow mermaid larvae breeding. Friends who are interested in breeding must pay special attention.
