The pink cockatoo likes to inhabit forests, grasslands, semi-arid areas, pastoral areas, parks, and human activities in courtyards and towns. In northern Australia, they are more active in mountain forests, while in southern Australia, they tend to live in plains temperate forests. In summer, it is more common in woodlands, mostly near cool, shady rivers. In winter, prefer to live in drier woodlands in areas with milder elevations. During the year, I also visited parks and gardens in the city. This bird prefers open areas and almost always avoids dense forests.
