Rowan County, North Carolina – In a recent meeting, Rowan County commissioners granted approval for the Rowan Animal Shelter to host an extended discounted pet adoption event throughout the remainder of September.
Effective from Wednesday onwards, all pet adoptions will be offered at an impressive 80% reduction in fees.
The decision to hold this extended discount event comes in light of the shelter’s recent challenges, with a substantial increase in the number of animals being housed. August witnessed 430 successful adoptions, but the shelter has been facing overcrowding issues in recent weeks. Traditionally, discounted adoption events were held for only 20 days each year.
