James Middleton and his wife, Alizee Thevenet, are eagerly anticipating the arrival of their first child while savoring the last days of summer on a boating excursion with their cherished dogs.
In a recent Instagram post, Kate Middleton’s younger brother shared a picture of himself on the boat’s deck, surrounded by their dogs in a row beside him. He captioned the photo, “Sun, Sea & Sand,” and added, “Treasuring moments like this and cannot wait to have another little human joining our adventures.”
Another photo showcased Alizee on board the boat, cradling one of the dogs, with her back turned to the camera, and the pup’s face resting gently on her shoulder.
James announced the pregnancy on July 5 by posting a photo of Alizee showcasing her baby bump, with their dog Mabel playfully tugging on her sweater. He humorously wrote in the caption, “We couldn’t be more excited. Well, Mabel might be . . .”
Following the announcement, the couple was spotted holding hands at Wimbledon, where the mom-to-be flaunted her baby bump in a vibrant green dress.
On the social media page of James’s pet company, Ella & Co., named after their late dog Ella, Alizee shared another photo of her baby bump while posing with two of their dogs, saying, “We have a new member of the pack coming soon, we couldn’t be more excited.”
James added to both posts, reflecting on a challenging year after the loss of their beloved Ella but expressing their joy at the forthcoming addition to their family.
The arrival of James and Alizee’s child will mark the seventh grandchild for his parents, Carole and Michael Middleton. Additionally, the baby will be a new cousin for Princess Kate and Prince William’s three children (Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis) and Pippa Middleton’s three children (Arthur, Grace, and Rose) with her husband James Matthews.
Dogs have always played a significant role in the couple’s lives, with their initial encounter facilitated by James’s dog, Ella. They met at the South Kensington Club in Chelsea when Ella approached Alizee at the club. Thinking James was a server, she ordered a drink while petting the dog.
James fondly recounted this “meet cute” and remarked, “Little did I know, I had just met my future wife, all thanks to Ella. If I hadn’t trusted Ella, I wouldn’t have brought her to the South Kensington Club, and she wouldn’t have been able to say hi to the woman who became my fiancée.”
