Ten Lives Club, a local cat adoption organization, will host an adoption event called the Thankful Fur Pets Expo at McKinley Mall on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Activities to help dogs and cats find their forever homes.
The adoptable pets on display are not only from the Ten Lives Club, but also from other pet adoption groups and agencies, including Akron Dog Rescue Angels; Awesome Paws Rescue; Buddy’s Second Chance Rescue; and Buffalo Animal Shelter ; and Empire Animal Rescue Society (EARS). Other representatives include Kat Colony; Burger Mutts; Queen City Pies; Nickel City Canine Rescue; Pit Chic; Buffalo Rescue; 716 Paws and 7 Hearts Pregnant Rescue; Puppy Mill Rescue; and the SPCA serving Erie County.
“The animal rescue and shelter community has been struggling with the number of homeless people and surrendered pets in need of housing,” said Kimberly LaRussa, public relations manager for Ten Lives Club. “We hope this event will help animals find their perfect families.”
