Mike Hall walked into a store in Windsor, Ont., on Sunday to do some Christmas Eve shopping and walked out with a small toy.
But, this is not for the kids. Instead, it’s for his fur babies.
“She loves toys just like any other kid would. Just like I had a toddler,” Hall said.
Unsurprisingly, shopping malls across the country are packed with people doing last-minute shopping – all in an effort to meet Monday’s Christmas deadline.
“If someone else opened a gift and she didn’t get anything, Rocky would go into the bedroom and lie down,” Hall said.
Christine, who owns a dog named Chiquis, left the Dougall Avenue PetSmart store with two ugly Christmas sweaters for her pet .
Christmas Eve is also Chiquis’ birthday.
“I feel like if you have an animal and you’re taking care of it, it’s just right to treat them as part of the family,” Kristen said, adding that Christmas isn’t about Chiquis receiving gifts only holiday. .
“Halloween, Easter, any occasion I can find to get her into a store to shop, I take advantage of it,” she told CTV News Windsor.
