Kormotech, the Ukrainian pet food producer, has announced a bold growth strategy with the aim of positioning itself as one of the world’s top 30 pet food manufacturers by 2028. The company, currently exporting to 42 countries, plans to invest €60 million (US$64.5 million) in expanding its production capacities in Lithuania. This move is part of Kormotech’s broader plan to overtake more than 20 global competitors within the next five years.

CEO and co-owner Rostyslav Vovk stated, “We see prospects here and want to not only make our Optimeal and Club 4 Paws brands popular but also to change attitudes towards pets and create what we call a culture of responsible pet parenting.” The company aims to shift the ratio of export and domestic sales from 30% against 70% to 70% against 30%.
In line with its international expansion efforts, Kormotech recently expanded its distribution in Spain and Italy, with plans to raise its annual sales to approximately US$500 million by 2028. The company’s venture arm, Kormotech Ventures, has also made strides by investing in Rocketo, a UK-based startup specializing in dried organic pet food.
