Friends of Columbus Animal Care Services (FCACS) is set to offer a helping hand to pet owners in need through their Furry Friends Food Bank distribution event on Thursday, March 21, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. The distribution will take place at Columbus Municipal Airport, located at 4770 Ray Boll Blvd. Look for the distribution spot in the parking lot in front of plane Charlie 119.
The aim of this initiative is to support local community members in keeping their beloved pets in their homes and out of shelters. Cat food will be distributed in 4.5-pound bags, while dog food will be available in 14.5-pound bags.
To ensure a smooth and efficient process, participants are advised to remain in their vehicles and line up on the west side of the driveway. Volunteers will bring the pet food directly to each vehicle.
This program is part of FCACS’s broader efforts to provide alternatives to surrendering pets to shelters. As the 501(c)(3) non-profit partner of Columbus Animal Care Services, FCACS is dedicated to supporting the well-being of pets and their owners in the community.
In the event of active thunder and lightning, the distribution will be postponed. However, if it is simply raining, the distribution will proceed as planned.
For those in need of assistance with pet food, FCACS’s Furry Friends Food Bank distribution offers a valuable resource to help ensure that pets receive the care and nutrition they deserve.
