UrgentVet, a leading urgent care provider for pets with its origins in Tampa, has unveiled its inaugural location in Tucson, marking a significant step in its expansion strategy. Scheduled to commence operations on March 28, UrgentVet-Tucson, situated at 107 N Pantano Road, aims to cater to the pet care needs of Tucson residents beyond regular business hours.
The newly established clinic aims to bridge the gap in after-hours pet care by offering services for mild illnesses and minor injuries during evenings, weekends, and holidays. UrgentVet asserts that their rates will be more budget-friendly compared to traditional emergency pet hospitals, ensuring accessible care for pet owners in the region.
Among the services provided, UrgentVet-Tucson pledges prompt attention to conditions including vomiting, diarrhea, limping, itching, coughing, loss of appetite, minor wounds, and back pain, with same-day appointments available.
Dr. Jim Dobies, DVM, and Founder of UrgentVet, expressed his enthusiasm for the venture, highlighting its significance in advancing their mission to promote pet welfare and support pet owners. He remarked, “The opening of UrgentVet-Tucson marks another significant milestone in our mission to enhance the well-being of pets and support pet parents. With a substantial number of households in the Tucson area owning at least one pet, we recognize the demand for accessible care, especially during non-traditional hours.”
UrgentVet-Tucson will become the 68th clinic in the UrgentVet network and the fourth in the state of Arizona. The clinic’s approach emphasizes creating a serene environment for both pets and their owners. This is achieved through species and size-specific examination rooms, non-slip flooring, adjustable lighting, soothing color schemes, ambient music, calming pheromones, and tranquil examination lift tables.
Moreover, the clinic employs tempered glass pet enclosures from Casco, engineered to be 70% quieter than conventional metal cages, aimed at fostering a more comfortable atmosphere for pets during their stay.
The launch of UrgentVet-Tucson signifies the company’s commitment to expanding its footprint while addressing the evolving needs of pet owners, ensuring that quality veterinary care remains accessible even during off-peak hours.
