El Paso Animal Services is commemorating National Pet ID Week by extending complimentary services to the local community.
On Tuesday, April 23, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at 5001 Fred Wilson Ave., residents can avail themselves of free pet microchips and pet ID tags, while supplies last. This initiative was announced in a recent news release by El Paso Animal Services.
In addition to these offerings, Eastlake Animal Clinic will be present, administering essential vaccines for cats and dogs. Services include the rabies vaccine for both cats and dogs, Parvo and Bordetella vaccines for dogs, and the FVRCP vaccine for cats, as detailed by Animal Services.
Furthermore, the event will provide an opportunity for pet adoption. Dogs are available for adoption at a fee of $30, while cats can be adopted for $5. Animal Services emphasizes that all adoption fees can be waived for pets that have been in the shelter for over 20 days.
El Paso Animal Services Director Terry Kebschull emphasized the importance of microchips and vaccinations in safeguarding pets, stating, “Microchips and vaccinations are essential tools in safeguarding our beloved companions. We urge the community to take advantage of this event, not only to protect their pets but also to find their next furry family member.”
