United Petfood, a leading Belgian pet food manufacturer, is advancing construction on a state-of-the-art production facility in Jedlińsk, Poland, with plans for completion by the following year.
The ambitious project, backed by an investment totaling PLN 180 million (US$45.5 million), signifies the company’s commitment to expanding its operational footprint in Poland. The new facility, set to occupy an additional 8,000 square meters (86,100 square feet), aims to bolster manufacturing capabilities in Jedlińsk, where United Petfood already maintains a presence.
Construction commenced in 2023, with expectations of generating approximately 120 employment opportunities upon the facility’s operational readiness. Currently operating three production lines, the existing plant in Jedlińsk yields 1,400 tons of pet food per month. The forthcoming facility is poised to enhance production capacities significantly.
Strategically located within close proximity to Warsaw, Jedlińsk offers logistical advantages for United Petfood’s expansion endeavors.
Established in 1994, United Petfood prides itself on being a premier private label producer of premium dry and wet pet food, as well as biscuits and snacks. With a robust network comprising 24 facilities spanning multiple countries, the company caters to over 95 markets globally.
Continuing its trajectory of international growth, United Petfood recently acquired a production facility in Ølgod, Denmark, earlier this year. This acquisition follows the company’s successful purchase of a factory in Nieuwkoop, the Netherlands, in 2023, underscoring its strategic expansion initiatives within the pet food sector.
