Pet owners residing in East Vancouver have been put on high alert following the appearance of a cautionary sign indicating the discovery of potentially poisoned hot dogs within the vicinity.
The sign was conspicuously affixed to a city fence within the Grandview Woodland area, with additional reports surfacing of suspicious hot dog fragments found near Clark and First Avenue, as well as several kilometers away at Turner and Kaslo streets.
According to details outlined on the sign, the discovered pieces were allegedly concealed beneath moss, heightening concerns over intentional tampering.
Expressing a sense of obligation to disseminate the alert, Danielle Booth, an administrator of a local pet-focused Facebook page, conveyed her unease at the situation, labeling it as potentially sinister. “If someone is purposefully doing it, that is a very sad situation to accept,” she remarked.
As of present, Booth noted no reported cases of illness among dogs within the area. Similarly, Vancouver police informed Global News that they had not received any reports of animals falling sick in the vicinity.
