Natoo Pet Foods has proudly attained the Pet Sustainability Accredited Business title from the Pet Sustainability Coalition (PSC), marking a significant milestone in its commitment to environmental and social responsibility.
PSC-accredited companies are distinguished by their adherence to rigorous environmental and social impact standards within their operational communities. This accreditation certifies that Natoo has aligned its business practices with the Sustainable Development Goals for 2030 outlined by the United Nations Compact, following a thorough assessment of its operations.
Established in 2013, the PSC has over a decade of experience aiding businesses in reducing their environmental footprints and fostering a network of companies dedicated to sustainable practices. Accredited companies under the PSC program are recognized for their sustainable leadership and measurable positive impacts on pets, people, and the planet, fulfilling the growing consumer demand for transparency and actionable sustainability.
“Since inception, Natoo’s efforts have focused on optimizing energy consumption and using sustainably sourced ingredients,” said Fernando Maluf, VP of International Sales. “We’re incredibly proud to join a community of outstanding sustainability leaders after earning accreditation status with the Pet Sustainability Coalition. This achievement marks another step forward in our sustainability journey, and we’re delighted to have continued support from the PSC in achieving our environmental impact goals.”
Natoo’s parent company, PremieRpet, has been a trailblazer in the Brazilian pet industry, pioneering eco-friendly practices and product development. PremieRpet was the first in Brazil to produce super premium pet food and to implement solar energy across all its facilities. Notably, their factory has earned Gold certification from the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) program for its sustainable operations, making it the first pet food factory in Latin America to receive such recognition.
Located in Dourado, São Paulo, Natoo Pet Foods operates within a sprawling 680,000-square-meter industrial complex. The site includes dry and wet food factories, a cookie factory, a Nutrition Development Center (NDC), and a laboratory. Natoo’s products are crafted with meticulously selected ingredients that meet stringent quality standards, all within an ecologically designed facility powered entirely by solar energy.
This accreditation underscores Natoo’s ongoing dedication to sustainability and positions it as a leader in the pet food industry’s shift towards more environmentally conscious practices.
