The inaugural Super Adoption Event hosted by Best Friends Animal Society saw remarkable success this past weekend, with 30 shelters and rescue groups participating in the initiative. Held on June 14 and 15, the event featured more than 450 dogs and cats from various parts of Arkansas available for adoption.
Michelle Logan, Executive Director of the Best Friends Pet Resource Center in Northwest Arkansas, expressed enthusiasm over the community’s response to the event. “This weekend’s super adoption was an amazing example of how a community can come together to help save pets‘ lives,” Logan remarked. “Over 30 shelters and rescue groups from Arkansas and neighboring areas united to ensure pets find loving homes rather than shelters.”
According to Logan, the event resulted in the adoption of nearly half of the animals showcased. “Together, we were able to find homes for over 200 pets,” she announced. “The first-ever super adoption was a huge success, and we can’t wait to do it again.”
The event not only facilitated numerous adoptions but also underscored the collective efforts of various organizations committed to improving the lives of animals in need.
