This new facility enhances their ability to provide home delivery of pet medications, therapeutic nutrition, and over-the-counter pet products.
Adam Schrage, Vetsource’s vice president of operations, highlighted the strategic importance of the Dallas–Fort Worth area for its central location and proximity to major transportation hubs, facilitating faster shipping times. “Shipping from in-state allows us to effectively avoid that delay,” Schrage noted.
The new pharmacy emphasizes sustainable practices, including the use of biodegradable packaging and recycled denim coolers for temperature-sensitive medications, reflecting Vetsource’s commitment to reducing its environmental impact.
VCA Sanibel Animal Hospital in Sanibel Island, Florida
VCA Animal Hospitals, part of Mars Veterinary Health, has reopened the VCA Sanibel Animal Hospital following its destruction by Hurricane Ian in 2022. The new 4,100 sq ft facility replaces the original 960 sq ft hospital, offering expanded services tailored to local pet owners.
Hospital manager Jennifer Nichols emphasized VCA’s dedication to patient and community care. The rebuilt hospital features specialized surgery dental suites, multiple treatment areas, an isolation room, grooming services, separate kennels, an outdoor play area, and spacious examination rooms, ensuring comprehensive care for pets.
CityVet in Virginia Beach, Virginia
CityVet, a Dallas-based network of 38 veterinarian-owned practices, has opened a new clinic at 2005 Lynnhaven Parkway, Suite 106, Virginia Beach, starting June 24, 2024. This marks CityVet’s first location in Virginia Beach, committed to providing personalized veterinary care.
