Among Hosaka’s recent triumphs was his miniature poodle, Sage, securing the top prize at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show this past May. Hosaka had announced that this would be his final appearance at the prestigious event. Additionally, he showcased Sage at the National Dog Show in Philadelphia in November 2023, held on Thanksgiving Day.
Hosaka’s journey in the United States began in 1977 when he arrived to apprentice with a poodle breeder, marking the start of a distinguished 45-year career in the sport.
