ROBINSON, Texas (KXXV) — The Robinson Drive Animal Hospital has introduced a dedicated room designed to offer a serene environment for families bidding farewell to their pets.
Veterinarian Ann Anderson emphasizes the importance of this space, highlighting its role in ensuring pets remain calm during their final moments.
“The more stressed an animal is, the more likely it is to resist the effects of the sedatives and the euthanasia,” Anderson explained. “Our goal is to make that transition — that passing — as peaceful and as calm as possible. By providing a more stress-free, calm environment, we eliminate that complicating factor.”
The hospital unveiled the comfort room about a month ago, and it has already been utilized by several Central Texas residents seeking a tranquil setting for their pets’ final moments.
