LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — During Tuesday’s County Commission meeting, Clark County Animal Protection Services received accolades for their significant contributions to the community.
Over the past year, the agency has assisted nearly 8,000 animals in the valley, including reuniting lost pets with their owners and rescuing animals from abusive situations.
These efforts have contributed to the recent overcrowding of shelters in the area.
With the 4th of July holiday approaching, officials are reminding residents that July is National Lost Pet Prevention Month. Pet owners are encouraged to ensure their contact information is current on both collars and microchips to facilitate the safe return of lost pets.
