BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard County Animal Services has announced free adoptions for dogs and cats throughout the month of July, generously sponsored by the Boniface Hiers Automotive Group.
The adoption package includes spay/neuter services, a microchip, current vaccinations, free medical insurance provided by Trupanion, and a county tag upon approval of the application.
In addition to this initiative, the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office South Animal Care Center hosts a one-hour obedience class every Saturday, starting promptly at 9:30 a.m. Interested participants are requested to check in with Care Center Staff by 9:20 a.m.
This class is open to individuals who have adopted a dog from Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Animal Services, as well as community members who have scheduled appointments to surrender a dog to the shelter. The session focuses on basic obedience training and addresses minor behavioral issues for pets.
Since assuming responsibility for Animal Services in Brevard County in 2014, the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office has benefitted from substantial donations from A.J. Hiers of Boniface Hiers Automotive Group. These contributions have played a crucial role in feeding the pets under their care.
“A.J. reached out to me expressing his desire not only to continue sponsoring food for the pets at our Animal Care Center but also to cover the costs of all pet adoptions at our facility during January, February, March, and April,” stated Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey. “His compassion is remarkable, and he shares our commitment to finding loving homes for every homeless pet that comes through our doors.”
Sheriff Wayne Ivey and Space Coast Daily collaborate closely to promote adoptions and profile animals awaiting adoption at the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office South Animal Care Center.
“As Sheriff of Brevard County, I am thrilled to partner with Space Coast Daily to showcase the wonderful animals temporarily housed at our Animal Care Center,” Sheriff Ivey remarked.
Those interested in adopting a pet are encouraged to visit the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office South Animal Care Center, open Monday to Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
