Jacksonville, FL – The Jacksonville Humane Society (JHS) is teaming up with PetSmart Charities to mark the 30th Anniversary National Adoption Week, scheduled from July 15 to July 21.
The highlight of the adoption drive will be hosted at the PetSmart store located at 8801 Southside Boulevard on July 20 and 21. During this event, all adoption fees will be reduced by half at this specific location.
PetSmart Charities’ National Adoption Week in July coincides with kitten season, the time when shelters experience an influx of kittens due to peak breeding among cats. Given the current full capacity of shelters, JHS is urging all animal lovers to participate in this event.
According to JHS officials, dedicated staff and volunteers will be present throughout the event to assist potential adopters in spending quality time with the cats, dogs, kittens, and puppies seeking forever homes.
“Summer is a particularly busy period for animal shelters, including JHS. We deeply value the support that facilitates the placement of every pet into a caring home, and we are immensely thankful to every family that chooses to adopt a shelter pet,” expressed Denise Deisler, CEO of JHS.
